Hue Photos

Hue was the imperial capital of the Nguyen Dynasty from 1802 to 1945. Despite the fact that many of its finest buildings were destroyed during Vietnam War, this UNESCO World Heritage still represents the glories of Vietnamese feudalism. Legacies of the ancient citadel are everywhere and leave a deep impression of majestic architectures such as palaces, tombs, pagodas, mausoleums and temples. Along with the beauty of extraordinary monuments is the picturesque Perfume River – the most poetic river in Vietnam, flowing through the city with the sweet melodies of traditional Hue.
